Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Edentos, an online study platform for candidates preparing for the professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), available at edentos.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Aradizo Tech Solutions Ltd (RC 9823337) ("Aradizo", "we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Subscription, Payment and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use Edentos

• You must be at least 15 years old.
• If you are 15, 16 or 17, you may use the Service only with the consent of your parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
• You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

2. Your account

• Your account is personal to you. You must not share your login with anyone else or let anyone else use your account.
• An account may be signed in on at most two devices at a time. A device that has not been used for a period is released automatically, and you can remove a device from your account settings.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once at aradizotechsolutions@gmail.com if you think your account has been used without your permission.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is permanent; see the Privacy Policy for what is removed.

3. What the Service provides

Depending on your plan, the Service gives you access to: syllabus-organised study material; summaries of the study texts; practice questions with answers, explanations and references to the source page; timed mock examinations; marking of photographed handwritten answers; a daily challenge game; and progress analytics. The features and limits of each plan (for example how many scripts can be marked in a period) are shown on the Pricing page and may change as described in section 15.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are subscriptions bought in advance for a fixed period. We do not store your card details and subscriptions do not renew automatically. When a subscription ends, your account returns to the free plan until you renew. Full details, including refunds, are in the Subscription, Payment and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, resell, publish or share any content from the Service, including summaries, questions, answers, explanations and audio, except for your own personal study;
• share your account, or try to get around the device limit, usage limits or plan restrictions;
• use automated tools (bots, scripts, crawlers) to access the Service;
• try to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the Service, or access any part of it you are not authorised to use;
• upload anything that is not your own exam answer, or anything unlawful, offensive or harmful, or containing malware;
• use the Service to break any law or to infringe anyone's rights; or
• use the Service to cheat in any examination.

6. Content you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as written answers, photographs of handwritten scripts and feedback. You give us a licence to store, process and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service to you — for example to transcribe and mark a script — and to use feedback to improve the Service. Photographs of handwritten scripts are deleted permanently 14 days after they are marked, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Our content and intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and the content written for Edentos (including summaries, Additional questions, explanations, marking guides and audio) belong to Aradizo or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. The syllabuses, study texts, past examination questions and suggested solutions are the property of ICAN, ANAN or their respective owners and are credited to them; see the Disclaimer and Acknowledgement. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own study while your account is in good standing. Nothing else is licensed to you.

8. AI-generated content and marking

Some content on the Service — including summaries, Additional questions, explanations and the marking of handwritten scripts — is produced with the help of artificial intelligence and checked against the source documents. It can still contain mistakes. Marks given by the Service are an estimate to help you practise; they are not marks awarded by ICAN or ANAN and do not predict your examination result. Always check important points against the official study text.

9. The daily challenge game

The daily challenge uses prize amounts shown in naira (for example "₦1,000,000") purely as motivation. These amounts are not real money. Nothing is won, owed or paid, and they cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or any other benefit.

10. No guarantee of results

Edentos is a study aid. We do not promise that using it will lead to passing any examination, obtaining any qualification, or any particular mark.

11. Independence from ICAN and ANAN

Edentos is independent. It is not owned, operated, endorsed or approved by ICAN or ANAN, and nothing on the Service is an official communication from either Institute.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control. If a failure of the Service affects a paid subscription, the Refund Policy explains what you are entitled to.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, without refund, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms — for example by sharing your account, scraping or redistributing content, or attacking the Service. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to explain. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• the Service is provided "as is" and "as available";
• we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, examination results, income or data, arising from your use of the Service; and
• our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the one month before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

15. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may change the Service, its features and its plans. We may also update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or on the Service at least 7 days before it takes effect. A change to a plan's price never affects a subscription you have already paid for. If you continue to use the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

How we handle your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Complaints

If you have a complaint, email aradizotechsolutions@gmail.com. We will acknowledge it within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will try to resolve any dispute with you informally first. If that fails, the dispute may be brought before the courts of Anambra State, Nigeria.

19. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operating the Service, and will tell you if we do.
