In four steps, every one of them anchored to a document the Institute itself published — which is what makes the material credible rather than merely confident. First the published syllabus is read and split paper by paper, and each paper’s topics are extracted with the examination weighting the Institute assigns them. Second the official study text is read page by page and broken into passages, and each passage is matched to the syllabus topic it covers — so the book is reorganised around the syllabus rather than its own chapter order. Third the past pilot questions and pathfinders are extracted and matched to their published suggested solutions, then mapped onto the same topics. Finally the summaries are written from those matched passages, and every substantive claim carries the page and column it came from. The result is that a topic, its study material, its past questions and its model answers all point at one another — and all of it traces back to a document you can open and check.

How is the study material actually built?

Where do the questions come from?
Two places, and they are labelled differently. Questions marked Official are taken from real pilot papers and pathfinders, together with the Institute's own suggested solutions. Questions marked Additional are written from your paper's study text once the past diets run out — modelled on the examiner's style, with a marking guide and citations back to the source.
How accurate is the handwriting marking?
Your script is transcribed and marked against the Institute's suggested solution for that question, with the marks apportioned as the examiner would. Where the handwriting cannot be read confidently it says so and flags the script for review rather than guessing at a grade — a low-confidence mark is worse than no mark.
What happens when the syllabus changes?
Each syllabus year is kept separate. When the Institute publishes a new one its material sits alongside the old, and previous years stay accessible and unchanged — so a resit is revised against the syllabus that paper was actually set under.
Can I use this for ANAN?
Not yet. ANAN will reuse the same features as ICAN — only its papers and materials differ — and it is listed as coming soon rather than shown as ready. Both routes lead to chartership; the preparation works the same way.
Is Edentos affiliated with ICAN or ANAN?
No — Edentos is an independent study platform, and everything here is built to help you pass the Institutes' examinations rather than to replace them. What that means in practice is that nothing is invented: the syllabus, the study texts and the past papers are the Institutes' own published documents, and Edentos's job is to connect them to each other so you can revise from them properly. Every screen tells you which document a claim came from and which page it is on, so you are never asked to take Edentos's word over the Institute's.
